Max Power panels are expertly manufactured in a state of the art Tier-1 facility and deliver trouble free performance in harsh Australian conditions.
Lets look at some of the important key features in more detail.
N-Type Cells
The new panels feature superior N-Type cells. Most other panels have P-Type cells. The N-Type cells have increased power output in low light situations such as early morning, late afternoon, cloudy days and dusty days. This means the panel produces more power each day compared to the same size (390W) panel with P-Type cells. This extra power produced each day over the life of the systems adds up to more savings for customers.
Dual Glass
The Max Power Solar 390W panel comes with dual glass sheets – one glass sheet on the front of the panel and one on the rear. Most other panels only have glass on the front, and the rear of the panel has a layer of plastic.
Over the years with exposure to the hot roof surface during harsh Aussie summers, this plastic sheet on the rear of the panel can peel away, damaging the panel. This is a common cause of panel failure and is the reason why many panels only have 12 year product warranty.
Enhanced Australian Warranties
The Max Power Solar 390W panel is backed industry leading warranties- a 25-year Australian product warranty and a 30-year Australian performance warranty.
The 25 years product warranty covers workmanship and materials for the panels. Nearly all competing panels only offer a 12 or 15-year product as that is only how long they expect their panels will last in harsh Australian conditions.
The Max Power MPS-390N has a leading 30-year performance warranty. This warrants how much power the panel will produce in the future. The output of all solar panels falls over time and under Australian regulations every panel must have at least a 25-year performance warranty.
Most standard panels will only be producing 80% of their rated capacity after 25-years. The Max Power panel will be producing an outstanding 89.4% and 87.4% after 30-years. This results in thousands in extra savings over the life of the system.
Why is an Australian panel warranty important? There are two main reasons. Firstly, since 2013 the number of solar panel models registered with the Clean Energy Council fell from from over 26,600 to 4,466 in 2019. Secondly over 750 solar installers went bankrupt or left the industry since 2013.
The solar installer carries the warranty responsibility if the panel manufacturer leaves the market. If the installer is out of business the customer is left as a “solar orphan” with no local warranty on their panels.
