MaxBreeze Solar Powered Roof Ventilation
The Solar Roof Ventilator Without Equal
The MaxBreeze solar powered roof ventilator is a smart and environmentally sensible solution to help protect your home and your roof. It can even save you money by cooling your home in summer, reducing the load on your air conditioner.
Australian designed and owned by SolarBright, MaxBreeze ventilation fans demonstrate the highest standards for quality and functionality. This includes the ability to choose a model with an in-built battery charged by the sun, so that the unit can operate on hot nights or cloudy days.
They are thermostatically controlled and will turn on automatically as the roof cavity heats up. The solar panel panel on the fan produces free electricity from the sun to drive a quiet, brushless DC motor and fan to extract hot air and moisture from your roof space.
The MaxBreeze creates a more energy efficient and healthier home. During summer months the MaxBreeze roof air ventilator keeps your roof space cooler, resulting in a more comfortable home.
MaxBreeze Roof Air Ventilator Advantages
The function of a MaxBreeze solar roof ventilator is to improve air circulation in the roof cavity by removing heat and moisture build up. This results in a more energy efficient home. Roof Ventilation Comparison
With the hot Australian climate some form of roof air ventilation system is essential to enhance natural circulation. When many Australians consider roof vents, they automatically think of the whirlybird. The MaxBreeze roof ventilator has numerous advantages over the old wind driven whirly-bird. Before you choose an old whirlybird style roof ventilator here are some of the main advantages of the MaxBreeze:
Brand | ||
---|---|---|
Model | MaxBreeze Solar Roof Ventilator | Whirly-Bird Wind Driven Roof Ventilation |
Model | MaxBreeze | Whirly-Bird |
Latest Technology | The MaxBreeze uses new technology to ventilate roof cavities efficiently and consistently throughout the year. |
Whirly-birds are wind driven and ventilate roof cavities passively. |
Works When the Wind isn’t Blowing | On a stifling hot summer day with no breeze, the MaxBreeze will work quietly and efficiently to extract the hot air from the roof cavity helping cool your home. |
On a hot day with no breeze, the whirly-bird will not work, and your roof cavity will heat up to 70°, pumping excess heat into your home. |
Turns off Automatically in Cold Weather |
On a cold, windy, winter day because of the the thermostat, the MaxBreeze will not turn on, keeping warm air inside your roof cavity to help warm your home. |
On these days, the whirlybird will be whizzing around, extracting the warm air from the roof cavity, making your home colder as you turn up the heating. |
Moves Air Efficiently | MaxBreeze can move over 20 times more air than whirly-birds. |
Very inefficient at moving large mounts of air. |

How Does MaxBreeze Solar Roof Ventilation Work?
The solar powered MaxBreeze solar roof ventilation fan is the smart, 21st century version of the old Whirly-Bird. The thermostat automatically controls the fan, turning it on as the roof cavity heats up.
- The sun beats down on your roof and heats up the enclosed roof space. On a hot day the roof cavity can heat up to 70°C. This build up of heat radiates into the living space.
- As the temperature in the roof cavity rises the thermostat automatically turns on the MaxBreeze. The solar panel on the MaxBreeze converts sunlight to electricity to power the fan.
- The MazBreeze quietly extracts the hot air from the roof cavity, lowering the cavity temperature.
- MaxBreeze is thermostatically controlled to turn on and off automatically.
