Tesla Solar Panel and Battery Packages FAQs
Here are some of the frequently asked questions about Special Offers. If you still have any questions, please free to get in touch with us and one of our friendly team members will be happy to help.
-
What’s included in a Tesla Powerwall 3 solar and battery package?
A typical package includes Powerwall 3, solar panels sized for your roof and usage, required electrical protection/isolators, monitoring setup, and a full installation. -
How much extra storage does a Powerwall 3 Expansion Pack add, and what’s the maximum system size?
Each Powerwall 3 Expansion Pack adds 13.5 kWh of energy capacity, and you can add up to 3 Expansion Packs to one Powerwall 3 (Leader unit), giving you up to 54 kWh total (Powerwall 3 + 3 expansions). -
Powerwall 3 vs Powerwall 3 Expansion Pack - what’s the difference?
Powerwall 3 is the main battery unit. Expansion Packs are added storage modules that increase capacity when you need more overnight coverage, higher self-consumption, or more backup runtime. -
Can I start with one Powerwall 3 and add Expansion Packs later?
Yes. Many customers install Powerwall 3 first, then add Expansion Packs later as energy needs grow (e.g., EV charging, growing family usage). We can design the original install to be expansion-ready. -
How do I choose the right Powerwall 3 package size for my home?
We size it based on your daily kWh usage, night-time load, and whether you want essential-backup circuits or broader backup coverage. If you want longer backup and more night usage coverage, we’ll recommend the right number of Expansion Packs to suit.
