We continually add and update related terms to skylights.

• BAL rating

  The Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) rating is an Australian government standard that measures the potential for your home to be exposed to bush fire attack. Skylights and Ventilation products installed in these  areas need to comply with the appropriate standard

• Dome

  Clear cover placed on top off tube to allow light into the skylight

• Diffuser

  The lens placed at the bottom of the tube, used to disperse the light throughout your room

• Flashing

  Material used to water proof the penetration in roof, we use these to make the opening for the skylight / ventilator water proof

T

• Tube

  Material used to span the gap between the roof and ceiling connecting the flasing/dome to diffuser
